Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When there is a large frequency offset in a communication channel or a receiver local oscillator has large frequency instability,an AFC(Automatic Frequency Controller),which is able to control the frequency error quickly and accurately,is need for coherent detection. In this paper,we propose an AFC using Wavelet Transform(WT)for estimating the frequency error.By computer simulations,we evaluate the frequency control performance of the proposed methods in an AWGN channel with a frequency offset. In consequence,we demonstrate the AFC using WT can achieve the faster initial frequency acquisition and more accurate frequency tracking than the AFC using short time discrete Fourier transform. But,the performance of the AFC using WT becomes poor for low S, N.
