Implementation of a Small-Scale Digital Circuit Multiplication Equipment

Abstract(in English) We report a small-scale digital circuit multiplication equipment capable of multiplexing speech and facsimile information efficiently on a digital leased line with a capacity of 64-384 kbps,maintaining high speech quality.The equipment can realize efficient multiplexing by transmitting talk-spurt information of a conversation and, or temporarily buffered facsimile data(where it is transformed to MMR before a transmission),instead of pause information in another conversation.The equipment can prevent from a degradation of the speech quality with the function of buffering, discarding,and interpolating a speech information under heavy loading conditions.A transmitter can receive a delivery report after a facsimile transmission.The result of evaluating the equipment under full loading conditions shows that it can provide high speech quality service for up to 17 trunks in addition to a facsimile service for a trunk on a bearer with a capacity of 128 kbps.
