Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Optical Path technologies will enhance B-ISDN performance.WP, VWPs(Wavelength Paths/Virtual Wavelength Paths)employing wavelength routing are effective to construct optical path networks. In this paper,we describe algorithms of establishing WP/ VWPs.The algorithms can minimize the required number of wavelengths in the network. To establish VWP networks,we define link cost as the number of VWPs accommodated within each link and find the minimum cost path route for each VWP.To establish WP networks,we firstly optimize WP routes and, then, solve the wavelength assignment problem with a heuristic algorithm. We demonstrate the advantages of proposed WP/VWP establishment procedures over another procedures where path routes are randomly selected from all the capable candidates.
