Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A simple feed-forward digital beam forming algorithm is proposed for mobile satellite communications array antenna system. This algorithm uses received baseband outputs of quasicoherent detectors connected to each antenna element independently for the purpose of finding and tracking an incident beam direction quickly and stably. No direction finding sensors nor reference signal are necessary. In this paper, the performance of this algorithm is discussed by means of numerical simulation for linear array of four point sources assuming practical Eb, No and 16kbps QPSK bandpass signal with no interference.
