Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In constructing a 6, 4-GHz(C-band)VSAT system, the interference condition should be taken into account. In the conventional calculation method of the interference level, any shadowing effects due to surrounding buildings are not considered for convenience. Therefore,if a VSAT antenna is set up at the place surrounded by the buildings, the interference level may meet the tolerance level, even though the calculated interference level exceeds it.This report evaluates the amount of interference coming into a VSAT antenna through the field trials of experimental C-band VSAT system, and compares it with the calculated interference levels. At the place surrounded by tall buildings,it is confirmed that the interference level was dramatically reduced by more than 30 dB and the amount of interference coming into VSAT antenna was reduced by as much as 11 dB.
