Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Dynamic behaviors for a Multiple Reservation Pipeline Polling(MRPP)access method, which is applied for VSAT system in satellite communications, are evaluated by computer simulation. The MRPP access method realizes excellent performances. In addition to fundamental performance, obtained from average delay, the delay variance and channel assignment response against sudden traffic change are discussed in this paper. As a result of evaluations, the stable operation in high throughput region and no performance degradation over any variable data length are comfirmed, because the MRPP introduces the pipeline processing and multiple reservation techniques. Moreover, small delay variance and quick response capability against the sudden traffic change, compared to collision type access methods such as Slotted ALOHA,are derived.
