Consideration of Short and Long Distance Site Diversity Experimental Results for the Hokkaido Integrated Telecommunication (HIT) Network

Abstract(in English) In order to research the propagation characteristics of Ku band (14/12GHz) which used in the Hokkaido Integrated Telecommunication Network, the signal attenuation chracteristics using JCSAT satellite have been obtained. Plural earth station uplink attenuation characteristics can be estimated by using signal from the remoted reference station with one earth station. The short distance site diversity (SD) characteristics and newly obtained long distance (300-80Okm) SD characteristics can be clarified from the experiments.
