Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Highly flexible beam forming network (BFN) is constructed from wafer-scale MMICs (WSMMICs) with microwave signal processing function, and 64-way power combiners. 64-WSMMICs for 64 beams devide 64 X 64 signal processing outputs. These signals are combined to exciite 64-element phased array. Novel 64 X 64 RF electrical interconnection ("Holo-connection") is proposed for highly dense packaging of the BFN. 64-inline coaxial connectors and thin ceramic packages are introduced to realize the "Holo-connection" unit.
