Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The spectral domain approach is employed to calculate the dispersion characteristics of the microstrip line using the yttrium iron garnet (YIG) substrate magnetized transversely. Numerical results show the mixed dispersion curve which consists of the quasi-TEM modes, and the magnetostatic surface wave (MSSW) modes showing the nonreciprocity, and higher-order modes of the Magnetostatic volume wave. Experiments are carried out for a λ/2 microstrip nesonator using the YIG single crystal or polycrystalline substrate to evaluate the dispersion characteristics. A mixed frequency band of the MSSW mode and the quasi-TEM mode, and a coupled frequency band of the quasi-TEM mode and high-order modes of the magnetostatic volume wave were comfirmed.
