Measurement of Image NRD guide Antenna using Time-Domain Network Technique

Abstract(in English) In millimeter-wave band, the development of RF devices such as antennas has been behind with social demand. Then, we take notice of Non-Radiative Dielectric guide (NRD guide), which has a very low loss in millimeter wave band. In this paper, we propose an image NRD guide fed by coaxial cable, and an image NRD guide antenna which consists of the open end of the guide. In addition, we consider the transmission characteristic and the directivity and so on. And determining the length of the probe, we utilize the gating function in timedomain of the vector network analyzer and measure the reflection coefficient with no undesired reflection.
