Abstract(in English) Diamond has the highest sound velocity among all materials, and it s application to a SAW substrate is interesting. Its basic properties were investigated by theoretical calculations and experiments. It was proved that a ZnO/diamond structure has high velocities more than twice as high as those of conentional materials, and a 1.5 GHz SAW filter was fabricated using a CVD diamond film. It was also proved that a SiO2/ZnO/diamond structure can realize zero temperature coefficient of frequency besides high velocities, and a 2.5 GHz narrow band SAW filter was fabricated.
