Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Propagation characteristics in Ku-band satellite communications are discussed focusing on the difference between receiving abilities of earth stations. At first, clarified is a mechanism that the C/No degradation in HUB station is smaller than that in VSAT under the same rainfall condition. Then new parameter of "instanteneous differential gain" is defined so as to compare the degradation at different receiving earth stations each other. Effectiveness of this parameter is evaluated referring to measured data.
