Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes a study on frequency sharing between GSO satellite communication systems and Non-GSO satellite communication systems. At first, this paper analyses mutual interference between the two systems. The analysis shows that the interference is severe and the frequency sharing is not feasible unless interference mitigation techniques are employed. Then this paper presents an interference mitigation technique. Its feature is that NGSO satellites shift their footprint from areas just under the satellites towards areas nearer to the equator. This shift in footprints enlarges off-axis angle at the NGSO satellite antenna and the interference level between the two systems is reduced by the discrimination of the antenna to compensate the lower elevation angle of the NGSO earth station.
