| Abstract(in English) | Because cable television (CATV) has the wide and two way characteristics, it has been noted as a tele-communications infrastructure capable of providing services including telecommunications. This project will attempt to connect the individual CATV networks scattered over a wide area and construct the network as a large scale telecommunications network and establish digital transmission techniques through many kind of experiments in CATV telephones and Near Video On Demand (NVOD). This paper presents the outline of the experimental facilities for the Wide Area CATV System. |
