Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Optimum design methodology for the future large space structure has been developed to realize several tens of meters antenna reflectors. A goal is to get the lighter and harder structures. To design extremely light and large antenna structures, integrated design environment has been constructed. Several design criteria can be optimized simultaneously by using newly developed design and analysis tools. Analysis tools can analyze non-linear structural response and flexible body dynamics. Mcxlular mesh deployment antenna has been developed for the future advanced mobile communication system. Present design considerations conclude that the total weight of less than 135kg and the eigen frequency of more than 0.8Hz can be achieved for the 18m x 16 m antenna reflector.
