Abstract(in English) Helicopter-born radar altimeter has been developed by requirement of precise altitude measurement on various scattering condition, such as roughness of surface, kind of vegetation, and angle of Incidence.This report is mainly concerned on characteristics of statistics fluctuation of backscattering coefficient with concept of fractal dimension.This proposed algorithm is used to estimate the parameters of a fractionally differenced Gaussian noise observed in an independent additive white noise.In addition to this analysis, beat frequency spectrum obtained by performing the FFT to the received time-domain signal, which shows the distribution of the terrain scatters as a functions of propagation delay or distance from ground surface, is available to classification of roughness of surfaces and vegetations.It makes it possible to improve accuracy and reliability of measurement for navigation by using data of scattering coefficient for interpolation in altitude data.
