Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A radio packet forwarding technique using a backup detour route is proposed. A station on the detour route stands by for the failure in transmitting a packet along a predetermined route. The simulation results show that the technique achieves better characteristics than that based on packet retransmissions along the same route. The proposed technique is particularly effective for the fading environment whose minimum period is rather long in comparison with the transmission time of a packet.
