Abstract(in English) | This paper proposes an overlapping cell allocation for microcellular systems in order to improve the spectrum utilization efficiency. If the number of available channels handled by a base station is limited, the proposed cell overlapping is effective to improve the blocking probability performance because of increasing the number of available channels within the overlapped area. Computer simulation results show the proposed overlapping micro-cellular system can improve the blocking probability performance, and there exists the optimum overlapping area to minimize the blocking probability. |
