Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Multi-carrier modulation is an effective scheme for high data transmission in frequency selective fading channel. However, it has large signal peak power, which results in a sensitivity nonlinear distortion caused by high power amplifier. Here, since a multi-carrier signal can be demodulated with only its I-phase component, it is possible to assign different data modulated signals to I-phase and Q-phase. At the receiver, by combing the demodulated signals from these two phase components, a nonlinear distortion problem of multi-carrier signals can be mitigated. Our computer simulation results show that the proposed scheme can not only compensate for the nonlinear distortion, but also achieve more performance improvement by incorporating the conventional coding schemes for this problem.
