Abstract(in English)	PerfecTV Corporation has started its digital broadcasting business by CS (communication satellite:JCSAT-3 satellite located at 128 deg east) from October 1996. Technologies employed here are under the Japanese Govemment's Technical Standard, which is based on MPEG2 Standard and European DVB Standard. 84 TV channels and 105 radio channels are currently being broadcasted and the testing of data broadcasting for PC will start in the 4^ quarter of 1997. There are several advantages for subscribers and broadcasters in using satellite and digital technology. The feature of the system using these technologies is flexibility of broadcasting of video, audio including radio and digital data. This system can be an information gateway into the home.
