Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have developed an educational robot for the purpose of Introduction to Computer Programming for Japanese children(K-12). The robot has two wheels driven differentially to run about, and has a set of infrared optical sensor to detect walls. A micro-controller chip is mounted on for robot control. Operational programs of the controller are described by a newly designed computer language. Children can write easily the robot programs in Japanese Hiragana using the language. The Robot workshops and classes have been held beyond 100 times.
