| Abstract(in English) | We propose a broadcast educational service that supports not only passive learning by simply viewing broadcast programs but also active learning in which young students search for and collect programs on their own to make presentations, exchange opinions, etc. To achieve this new broadcast educational service, we have constructed an education support system that enables users to search a multimedia database using agent technology. The system assumes its users to be elementary and junior high school students and supports theme-based "investigative learning." This paper describes the features of this system and presents a system overview. |
