Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The electro-questionnaire is supposed to be more flexible than paper based questionnaire in making its item structure. The method proposed here let it have the hierarchy if an item (original item) can be substituted by another items (the lower items). If a subject prefers to answer the lower items for a reason such that he (or she) wants the more detailed statement, he (or she) can answer them instead of the original item. In this case, we compare two formats: a format that the lower items are always displayed on the computer screen besides the original item, and a format that the lower items are displayed only when the subject wanted it. From the experiment, we obtained that the latter format had the preference and discussed the relevant facters.
