| Abstract(in English) | Library and Science Information Center, Osaka Prefecture University has a great collection of research materials of the late Dr.Sasuke Nakao, who was a broacher of The Theory of Evergreen Forest Culture. Among them are the slide photographs taken in Kingdom of Bhutan, when he was engaged in the field survey there in 1958. To make these valuable data available to the public, we have constructed a multi-directionally retrievable Web-based slide-image database. In this report, we present a case study of construction of this image retrieval/sharing system for digital archive of cultural material. |
