Construction of Learning Management System for Self-learning via the Internet

Abstract(in English) Recntly, a lot of the distance self learning supporting system have been developed using the Internet. Then, the learning in such environment is called "e-Learning". We have also developed a Self-learning support system : RAPSODY-II on the WWW. In RAPSODY-II, learners are offered various kinds of learning environment. But, in order to promote a learning in such environment, a framework is essential for managing various learning objects, and learning histories. So, we develop this framework based on a concept of Learning Management System in e-Learning. In this paper, we describe ountline of RAPSODY-II, traditinal Learning Management Systems, and a system architecture develped in our research.
