| Abstract(in English) | In this paper, the authors discuss the decision factor of image similarity for the design of image information retrieval. Recently, we often find many image data in a database owing to the advancement of multimedia technology. As you search certain images in a database, you have to know how a stored data has a similar pattern to the retrieval condition. The authors discuss a similarity of patterns in two pictures. As an example, we analyze the similarity of patterns in national ensigns, in order to find the decision factors of similarity on image data. |
