Interaction Interface Supported with Learner Agent of Managing Personal Learning Information

Abstract(in English) When we study with others collaboratively, not only direct interaction but also indirect interaction are necessary. Through the indirect interaction, we evaluate other students and, based on the evaluation, select the meaningful utterances from public communication. In order to realize such indirect interaction in web-world, we construct a learner agent which acts like a human student. The learner agent holds the personal learning information which represents the current understanding level and the personality of corresponding student, and interacts indirectly with other learner agents by acquiring other learning information according to the request of corresponding student. To acquire the personal learning information, the learner agent generates mobile agents called mediators which take responsibilities for the acquisition of personal learning information, since learner agents spread all over the network. In addition, the learner agent provides the functionality of arranging conversation on the public communication line, in order for the student to decide the target students easily.
