A CBR System for Lesson Examples on the Subject"Information Study" : Evaluation of the system performance of the system and the educational effectiveness

Abstract(in English) We constructed a data-base system for lesson examples, and we developed an environment for facilitating the usage of example data-base, and for encouraging teachers'collaboration. Concretely, we focus on the domain of the new subject "Information Study". The purpose of this evaluation of our research is to clear the use scene of this system for the teachers'training activities. In this paper we describe the evaluation of the technical performance of this system and the educational effectiveness for teachers. One of the viewpoints of the evaluation is the system's performance as an interface window, another is the validity of the cases which are accumulated. Especially, we examine the phase of writing lesson plans, which plays an important role in the teachers'training activities.
