Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Establishing standard specifications for learning materials and / or learner information is important issue to promote computer-network-based educational / training systems. There are several initiatives collaborating each other in the US and Europe, such as AICC, IMS, IEEE, and ISO. In Japan, the Advanced Learning Infrastructure Consortium was also established to promote standardization. These standards cover quite large field from platform to learning contents, competency definitions. Among them, CMI(Computer Managed Instruction)specification and LOM(Learning Object Metadata)specification are well-organized. Former is concerning learning material and learner information, and later is related to the index information for searching learning resource. Both are indispensable for contents reuse and distribution
