A Computer-Assisted Instruction System with the Educational Materials which can be Composed and Delivered

Abstract(in English) Even at the primary and junior high school, a personal computer is now available to each student. Offering technical advantages, falling in prices of the computers, and maintaining the network environment, a foundation of the computer-aided instruction in accordance with user's ability has been developed. However, there is a problem with the conventional CAI system that the teacher and student cannot customize and re-edit the system. Using IntelligentPad system which can dynamically compose the objects visualized on the screen and program it, we have developed the computer-aided instruction system which can re-edit the educational material freely. In this article, we will describe that we have achieved(1)data sharing, (2)operation sharing for the educational materials, and(3)educational materials sharing between the computers by developing the program part which can exchange the data through the network and combining it with the educational materials that we already have.
