Abstract(in English) This paper presents a method of automatic paragraphing in an intelligent English learning environment,called HELEN.HELEN consists of an authoring environment and a learning environment.In the authoring environment,using an image scanner HELEN gets sentences from an textbook,then divides the sentences into groups according to semantic coherence.This paper presents a method of paragraphing according to the topics of the story,which are extracted by considezing words and concepts appeared continuously in the story.
