How the Typing Skill Develops in the Absence of Formal Typing Instruction : A Case Study at a Women′s College

Abstract(in English) Japanese text typing is one of the basic skills for students at a women′s junior college in using the application softwares on per sonal computers.The students were let practice typing for three months without any formal typing instruction.Then,keystroke data were collected by using the automatic keystroke recording device, and analyzed to investigate characteristics of their typing skills.
