Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we report the proposal and the experimental production of a new online teaching material_a XML Teacher's Kit. Such Teacher's Kit utilizes XML (eXtensible Markup Language), the latest network technology, in order to overcome problems of present online teaching materials. The proposed teaching material is characterized by the freely extensibility of XML tags, by the capacity of XSL to provide multiple display of document, and so on. It's characteristics are as follows: 1)It creates teaching materials to be used in the class. 2)It creates teaching materials easily adjustable to the learning levels and purposes of the user. 3)It is possible to manage and create documents from segments of diverse sources. 4)User can freely choose from several information sources_WWW,CDROM,text,.... The XML Teacher's Kit, we have developed, could confirm the usefulness of the use of XML for the creation and management of online teaching material.
