Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The present paper deals with the independent and identically distributed binary digits (iid) generated with π. π is a number of great significance and also has the strong randomness of their digits. In this study, we generate 10000 iid binary digits using the first 10000 digits of π. To find the randomness, we focus our attention on the geometric distribution in terms of the chain and gap of code "0" and "1"among the binary digits in addition to the conventional correlation test. From χ^2 hypothesis test of the said geometric distribution, we show that the digits so obtained has the iid characteristic.. An application of these digits is illustrated with one-time-pad cipher.
