Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a framework of learner centered CAI system to be developed within the World Wide Web environment. The framework is designed to cover differences of learner's ability in a certain range. A student model, which includes factors of learning styles, is proposed considering some aspects of personality of learners. The student model is renewed by analyzing access log of teaching material server using WWW. A suitable material for each learner can be selected by a knowledge-based functionality based on the student model. A prototype system has been in development to investigate the validity of the proposed CAI framework.
