Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) we have been investigating methods of interactive distance learning which enable of vivid images and voices bi-directionally and in realtime between two mutually separated classroom, by connecting them with network. Our objective is to promote pupil's demand for study and creative ability through presentation and discussion, by connecting those which have mutually differentculture and customs. We have continued a series of verification experiments so far between Japanese elementary schools using educational systems which were constructed based on this idea. Following these experiments, we have executed experiments of interactive distance learning between Japanese and German elementary schools in order to investigate the possibilities of international distance learning. In this paper, we will propose a new method of interactive distance learning which is conceives forinternational distance learning. We will also try to evaluate the results obtained by actual distance learning experiments conducted between Japan and Germany.
