Abstract(in English) It seems that a big problem in utilizing the WWW to education fields is that teachers have difficulty directly developing and managing a WWW-based intelligent CAL(Computer Aided Learning)system, because of the shortage of funds and teachers who are skilled in both Al and computer information technologies. Focusing on solving the problem, we have developed a general-purpose tool called WWW-CALIST(WWW-based Computer Aided Learning Individual-adaptive Systems Tool), which helps teachers build up a web-based individualized adaptive computer aided learning environment called "test→search information using an adaptive knowledge map→Adaptive learning".
