Abstract(in English) When we read English texts rapidly, we need the fundamental ability of rapid reading, meaning understanding and vocabulary understanding. But most Japanese university students have not enough ability to do. So, we realized the support system "ReadingMaster" for university students to acquire the fundamental ability. "ReadingMaster" is realized on WWW, so that many students may be able to use. This paper describes the design of "ReadingMaster", implementation and experimental evaluation. We found the behaviors of 70% students' did not satisfy conditions which were required to use the system effectively. This paper also describes how to improve the effectiveness of the use based od the result.
