Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Conventional education of physics tends to lack proper instructions to students to promote their understanding on how physical system behave.Qualitative reasoning systems serves the instruction processes. One of the functions of qualitative reasoning systems is to generate explanations about qualitative aspects of the simulated system;moreover, they can present causality among parameters at any point of the simulation. We have developed an experimental qualitative reasoning system which deals with swinging pendulums. This paper describes a structure of our system.
