Abstract(in English) This study examines how much communication skills and media use capacity prescribe to the use of electronic mail. Fifty-eight university students who were introduced electronic mail at the first lecture of the four-month course filled out the questionnaires on communication anxiety, media use capacity, and general state of e-mail use. It is found that the media use capacity prescribes the frequent use of e-mail in the beginning while the communication anxiety relates to the ease of writing e-mall.
