Present Situation of Fostering the Information Technology Professionals In South East Asia : Activities At SEARCC

Abstract(in English) The South East Asia Regional Computer Confederation (SEARCC) has been making studies on how to establish the highest professional standards in IT. Its purpose being to foster high-level IT professionals, to stimulate business and the job situation in the region, and to develop the IT industry in each country. However, there are still tasks which remain before such standards are realized, and Japan should open its know-how on the ITEE system and the Standard Curricula, so that information can be exchanged with one another. Such international harmonization shall be of important for fostering IT professionals in Japan, and the development of the infomation industry in the mid-long term future.
