Abstract(in English) The Internet has become a fundamental part of computing today. Computers connecting to the Internet are growing to have high ability so as to handle image and voice communication. As multi-media computers connecting to the Internet are changing educational environment for university students, it is important to develop curriculum for utilize multi-media and the Internet as computer literacy. To enhance the literacy, we propose an instructional material using WWW and its browser. In this article, first we show the hardware and network environment at Tokyo Gakugei University. And also a structure of curriculum for Computer Science is shown. Secondly, philosophy, objects and problems of the introductory stage of the curriculum are discussed. Finally, instructional materials and exercises using an Electronic textbook on WWW are proposed. We also introduce examples of the textbook.
