The comparison and discussion on response time at open- and closed-book examination in computerized testing

Abstract(in English) This study aimed at establishing the method of evaluating a new phase of achievement, because the importance today is not only on evaluation of memory capacities of knowledge but also on evaluation of ability of application of acquired knowledge. School examination has two types, the one is open-book and the other is closed-book examination. For evaluation on application of knowledge, open-book examination is suitable. So authors analyzed response time and response curve at open-book examination, and compared them with closed-book examination response time and response curve. At open-book examination, response time and percent correct were negatively correlated. Besides, full examination of response curve of questions of multiple answers and true-false answers suggested complicated distribution patterns.
