Abstract(in English) This paper describes an approach on the design of hypermedia compound document which enables the user to execute actual user interface embedded in the hypermedia document as the effective learning aid for the novice user of PC application software. The procedures of the design are applied to the Japanese character recognize software product and the functional feature as the learning aid are expained. Discussions on the efficacy and issues are described based on the response from the software vender.
