| Abstract(in English) | In this paper we present a multimedia distance education system which can handle both storage media and real-time media. This system consists of a media server, teacher terminals and students terminals, all connected through a computer network. Studenrts can gain access to courseware stored on the server via a Web browser. In order to improve learning effectiveness, the system also provides a distance teaching facility which allows teachers to give lessons in a virtual classroom. This paper will show an overview of the system and describe the realization of media handling and self-learning facility. |
