Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The distance education system has been applied at lessons in the formal University curriculum between Osaka and Tokyo using a TV conference system. As formal accrediting of such lessons is currently being considered at the Ministry of Education, (with certain limits) the basic environment to support the distance education system appears to be mature and further improvements should be forthcoming. There are great expectations amongst the students taking part in the classes in the future of distance education system as a method to enhance the will to learn. And it is hoped that practical measures to incorporate this education system at other universities on a wider scale will be taken in the near future.
