Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the present braille system, braille codes are defined differently in many fields, such as English, mathmatics, computer science and music. This causes serious difficultly in reading braille text which includes several different braille codes. Braille codes are also different in the English-spoken countries. In UBC code, braille representation is assigned unambiguously to all the printed symbols in vavious fields without loss of readability Also, this new code is designed so as to make mutual (print-braille) transformation possible. In this research, we report English braille transformation system based on UBC.
