Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An effectiveness of presentation on highlighted characters by three-dimensional display is discussed. For comparing 3D and 2D presentation, the reaction time of word retrieval task is measured and statistically analyzed. Word retrieval task is needed to find target word in the text. The target is shown before hand. Some parts of the text are highlighted including the target word. Stereoscopic display with liquid crystal shuttered glasses is used. Two kinds of highlighting are used, namely red color indication and under-lined indication. As results, it is found that 3D presentation is superior to 2D presentation in retrieval speed.
