Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Terminal effects of a finite-length transmission line having vertical risers at both line ends are studied to introduce those effects into a chain matrix or a two-port network expressions. The phenomenon of the electro-magnetic fields due to the risers disturbing fields caused by the currents at line section or transverse electromanetic fields seems to be equivalent to a coupling phenomenon of external fields to a transmission line, which is expressed by the modified telegrapher's equations. From a set of solutions to the equations for line voltages and currents, a new two-port network expression is obtained as a compensated theory for the finite-length transmission line having risers. In order to verify the theory, some experiments are conducted. From comparisions between the compensated, the ordinary and the measured results, it is found that the compensated results are in a better agreement with the measured than the ordinary.
