Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To perform interactive services with CATV network, ingress noise severely degrades the upstream communication quality. This paper introduces signal analysis methods using autocorrelation function and Fourier transform to analyze upstream measured data in three CATV networks. The result of the analysis of the upstream data transmission bandwidth shows a cyclic noise variation by one day in lower frequency band, as well as burst noise due to radio wave in 27.12MHz band. Moreover, the analysis discloses that particular frequency components within the lower frequency band mark an extremely high level.
